At Rosehill Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students develop their skills and talents and explore new interests.

Debating and public speaking

At Rosehill Public School, we provide students with engaging opportunities to develop their confidence and communication skills through public speaking and debating. These programs encourage critical thinking, active listening, and respectful discussion. By presenting ideas, forming arguments, and speaking to an audience, students gain valuable life skills that prepare them for future learning and leadership.

Band

Every week we have a wonderful teacher from School Bands Australia (external provider) who comes to conduct our band and provides individual instrumental music lessons to the students involved. 2025 was the first year for Rosehill’s band, and in this short time our band students have made remarkable progress learning their chosen band instruments and playing pieces together.

Trips and excursions

At Rosehill Public School, we ensure learning is exciting by providing opportunities for students to take trips and excursions that connect directly to the curriculum. These experiences give children real-world context, help them understand topics more deeply, and build important life skills. From exploring museums to discovering nature, each outing is designed to spark curiosity, inspire learning, and create lasting memories.
